The traditional and the white wedding, in one place

Coral beads and gele, then white flowers by the sea. How couples hold both ceremonies at Hall of Odin.

For many Lagos couples, a wedding is two celebrations: the traditional ceremony with both families, and the white wedding. Holding both at one venue takes a lot of the stress out of the weekend — for you, and for the aunties.

Why one venue helps

  • One set of logistics — one address for guests, one parking plan, one point of contact.
  • One decorator relationship — the room can be reset between ceremonies rather than rebuilt elsewhere.
  • One feel to the photographs — the hall and the beach tie both days together.

Using the space for each ceremony

The hall suits the traditional ceremony well: plenty of room for the families' procession, the dancing in, and guests seated on both sides. The white wedding can then move out to the gazebo on the sand for the vows, before everyone comes back inside for the reception.

Two ceremonies, one place — and the sea in the background of both.
