Proposals
Proposing on the beach: a short guide
Roses on the sand, the sea behind, and a photographer out of sight. A few things that make a proposal go to plan.

There are few better places to ask the question than at the water's edge. A few simple decisions make the difference between a lovely moment and a perfect one.
Pick the time of day
Late afternoon gives you soft light and a sky that photographs beautifully. Arrive early enough to set up, and think about the time you will need to get your partner there without suspicion.

Keep the set-up simple
A heart of roses, a short runway, or a quiet table for two — the sea does most of the work. Talk to us about what you have in mind and we'll tell you what works on the sand.
Hide a photographer
You will want to see their face afterwards. A photographer at a distance catches the moment without giving the game away.

Plan what happens next
A dinner on the beach, family waiting in the hall, or just the two of you — decide in advance so the moment doesn't end abruptly.
Proposals are quoted on enquiry. Message us with your date and idea, and see more on our celebrations page.
